SPIRIT Buggy Has Colors Now?

SPIRIT Racing Systems (and SPIRIT as a whole)  is an organization that is proud of its diversity. Since SRS was founded as a majority-black organization, it is important to look at the history of black culture when creating its new brand.

As stated by the PanAfrican Alliance , the colors of the Pan-African flag are:

RED

represents the blood of our  martyrs, the 100 Million men and women who have shed their blood and given their lives for the cause of liberty, unification, and redemption

BLACK

compels us to remember that we Black men and women are all unified as members of one family.

GREEN

represents color of fertility, productivity, and prosperity.

Often, a different set of colors, red, green, and gold has been used to the same end. In this case, 

GOLD

which symbolizes mineral wealth

As time went on, these colors have merged together as one color scheme. Though red, black, gold, and green are equal in importance, the website mainly gold for a big reason. The main campus of CMU is in Pittsburgh,  a city that proudly owns the colors black and gold.

Some believe that black and gold represent the two ingredients to create steel: coal and iron ore. Regardless, the black and gold permeate the city through the colors of its bridges -- and major league sports teams. Long story short: 

THE TWO COLORS THAT OVERLAP IN THE PAN-AFRICAN FLAG AND THE PITTSBURGH CITY COLORS ARE BLACK AND GOLD. THUS, THE OFFICIAL COLORS ARE: 

Thanks for reading, and I hope that the brand grows on you over time. Even the Nike swoosh wasn't loved overnight (in fact, the swoosh was disliked when first showed to the founder...not so much anymore).
