What's good SRS fam!!! Buggy is back, which means SPIRIT is ready to show up big time. The team hit the ground running, getting in 6 rolls on our first day! The first day means many new faces are eager to join the team and get a taste of what SPIRIT buggy is like. The team introduced new members to every branch of the team, and the excitement was palpable. Despite a fresh batch of newbies, the team had an excellent day. It was a fast one out there, even catching some returning drivers off guard, with Head driver Lara describing the day as “speedy!” Head mech Tony was very excited to announce that the mechs had achieved no faults, saying, “ the limiting distribution for the number of f*** ups approaches asymptotically to one.” The atmosphere was electric as the team knew this was a fantastic start to the season. We’re looking forward to building a beast of a team, as always, and lighting up those time sheets on race day!

Sectors:

The pushers had a great time pushing the buggies but were a little caught off guard by an earlier-than-expected start time.
Drivers had a fast day but dealt with dust from construction by the chute.
Flaggers enjoyed first rolls FULL of yelling at runners and geese.
Media and Design collected lots of footage of the back hills and the chute, plus some extra spicey footage.
Mechs deserved a round of applause with no big issues, and the team performed well. Some even got in on some flagging and pushing.

Buggies weren’t the only ones speeding out there.

After an epic day of rolls and some VERY important stretching, the pushers wanted a little more speed and competition for the day. As you’d expect, a few sprint races were the only way to satisfy the push team. The energy of our pushers truly can’t be beaten.

You gotta get yourself an epic meal to top of an epic morning. The team enjoyed a delicious first post-rolls breakfast at ABP. It was awesome to see the squad bond over more than just buggy-related things.
